We’re having another baby!

We have just announced to the world [well put it on facebook], that my wife is pregnant with our second child. We are really excited and it was so nice to finally be able to tell our son he is going to be a big brother. During the scan the baby moved and kicked its legs, truly awesome, don’t remember seeing anything like that last time, just amazing to see its tiny legs kicking so confidently.

This year our son’s Christmas present was a new bed, but we thought we would try and make some thing a bit more special…

If you don’t know him, the background is that my son is fascinated with anything with wheels and engines; cars, lorries, buses, trains etc, and we thought a double decker would make a perfect bed.

The bed is based on a Ikea cabin bed, customised to look like this. It took some work to get it to be ready for Christmas, especially doing it without him finding out about it. It is not quite finished yet but as you can see below I think it went down well. Last night was the first night sleeping in it, and he slept through the night without waking up, which is the first time he has done that at home for ages, so everyone is happy.
